Job summary

Vail Resorts in Pennsylvania seeks a Ski Ride School Lead for the winter season. The role supervises ski/snowboard instruction, develops curriculum, and coordinates scheduling with the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The position requires PSIA/AASI certification, 1–3 years of skiing/snowboardingexperience and at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. Housing is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required.
  • 1-3 years ski/snowboard experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • Pay range: $23.00/hr – $53.50/hr; compensation based on factors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development, scheduling, and assigning classes.
  • Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and guest feedback reporting.
  • Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior with feedback, correction actions, or escalation as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Adhere to all safety programs including training and incident reporting.
  • Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as needed.
  • Participate in leadership forums providing feedback on school operations and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
