Ritsema Associates in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead field laborers and carpenters on commercial construction projects. You will coordinate with general contractors and internal teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

As the on-site leader, you’ll conduct startup meetings, run daily huddles, and manage labor planning, safety compliance, and quality workmanship while maintaining open communication with superintendents and project managers.

Qualifications

• Experience with drywall and metal stud framing on commercial projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications accurately.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for on-site teams.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Previous foreman or lead supervisory role in construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site operations with laborers and carpenters.
• Coordinate with general contractors and project management.
• Conduct startup meetings to review scope and labor needs.
• Run daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Manage crew scheduling and material orders on-site.
• Record labor hours and track equipment usage.
• Ensure clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Attend progress meetings and report status.
