Ritsema Associates, a West Michigan construction firm, seeks an experienced Site Superintendent to lead field laborers and carpenters on commercial projects. You will coordinate with general contractors, manage crews, and ensure quality workmanship while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field crews on commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification (provided by company).
• Must provide and maintain personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct startup meetings with the Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager to review labor needs and project scope.
• Facilitate daily huddles and toolbox talks to set goals, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
• Evaluate team performance and adjust plans based on daily outcomes.
• Manage crew scheduling and communicate labor needs in advance.
• Record and track all labor hours accurately.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and scaffolding needs and place orders through the office.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
