Job summary

R Baker & Son All Industrial Services Inc. seeks a Site Safety Manager to lead safety across heavy rigging, demolition, and plant dismantling projects in the NY/NJ metro area. You will direct field safety, enforce protocols, and drive compliance with OSHA and local regulations.

The role requires extensive certifications and a strong track record in high-risk environments, with travel as needed and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field safety supervision in high-risk environments.
• Active NYC DOB Site Safety Manager License or equivalent in NY/NJ area.
• Valid SST Supervisor, OSHA 30-Hour, and Site Safety Manager certificates.
• Ability to perform rigorous site inspections and navigate active terrain.
• Willingness to travel across the NY/NJ Metro area and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Enforce site safety protocols across demolition and rigging projects.
• Conduct field safety audits, hazard analyses, and JSA development.
• Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks for crews.
• Investigate near-misses and incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NYC DOB, and local safety regs.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and union crews to foster safety culture.
