Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Site Safety Manager (Lead) in Dayton, OH, to oversee safety operations on a long-term retrofit in an active fulfillment center. You will lead safety activities during floor demolition, site remediation, and electrical work while coordinating multiple trades.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate with site leadership without disrupting ongoing operations. 40–50 hours weekly; 1099 contractor arrangement.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 certification required.
• 7+ years in lead safety roles in construction environments.
• Experience supporting multi-trade projects in active/occupied facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead safety authority for all on-site activities.

Job description

Job Title: Site Safety Manager (Lead)

Location: Dayton, OH
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 weeks, then 1 year (2 part project)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation

Rate: $54-$58/hr
Per Diem: None Available
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule

Hours: 40-50 hours/week
Schedule: Monday-Friday (possible Saturdays & Sundays based on workload)
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Project Scope

This position provides lead safety oversight for a long‑term retrofit project at an active fulfillment center in Dayton, OH. The Site Safety Manager (Lead) will oversee safety operations during floor demolition, site remediation, and electrical installation while coordinating work in a fully operational facility.

The role requires experienced safety leadership, the ability to manage multiple trades, and proactive coordination around live site conditions to ensure work is performed safely without disrupting ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 required
• 7+ years of experience in lead safety roles
• Strong background in construction safety environments
• Experience supporting multi‑trade projects in active/occupied facilities
