The Role

We seek an experienced Lead SRE to build cloud-based software for our global clients. The ideal candidate enjoys working in diverse teams, values collaboration, drives continuous improvement, and challenges legacy systems with innovative solutions.

Location: Riverwoods, IL (Remote -CST)

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement robust architecture solutions.
2. Manage cloud infrastructure with AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.
3. Ensure system performance and security with Unix/Linux expertise.
4. Use Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for containerization and deployment.
5. Monitor system health with APM tools and ensure high availability.
6. Manage databases and SQL queries.
7. Develop scripts in Python and Java for automation.
8. Utilize Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting.
9. Apply chaos engineering to test system resilience.
10. Collaborate across teams for seamless solution deployment.
11. Mentor junior team members.
12. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
13. Perform independent SRE activities and implement core SRE principles.
14. Contribute to estimation, planning, and strategy from an SRE perspective.
15. Lead incident triage and RCA processes.
16. Implement observability with dashboards, alerts, and automation.
17. Demonstrate leadership in cross-team collaboration and communication.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Cloud, Unix/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, APM, Databases, SQL, Grafana, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Java, Splunk.
• Experience in SRE, Monitoring & Observability, Chaos Engineering.
• Understanding of Cards & Payments domain.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive learning attitude.
