Hazen and Sawyer in Atlanta is seeking a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of site design experience to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will lead yard piping, grading, stormwater, and paving design, and coordinate with regulatory officials and internal disciplines.

The role requires a PE license, strong communication, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; you will mentor CAD teams and contribute to all project stages from concept to construction support.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in civil, environmental, or biosystems engineering.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Technical proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and leading CAD teams for the design of site layout, grading, drainage, and yard piping.
• Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Able to easily move around active construction site safely and effectively.

Mansioni

• Design and develop site layout plans including yard piping, roadways, grading, stormwater systems, and paving for water/wastewater projects.
• Lead conceptual and preliminary design efforts, including field visits, data collection, alternatives analysis, and technical reporting.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and contribute to hydraulic modeling tasks.
• Coordinate with regulatory officials as well as in-house design disciplines and other offices/regions to ensure site design and permitting incorporates all necessary aspects of project.
• Coordinate work with sub-consultants and ensure design integration.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and design deliverables.
• Provide construction-phase support by reviewing contractor submittals, responding to RFIs, and performing field inspections.
• Lead site reconnaissance and field investigations.
• Occasional local and regional travel required.
