Job summary

Hazen & Sawyer in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, leading electrical work on projects and supporting local and regional assignments.

You will design power systems, develop specifications, perform site visits, and collaborate with clients and other engineers. A BS in EE, PE license, and proficiency with SKM/ETAP, AutoCAD or Revit are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–14 years of heavy industrial electrical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license in at least one US state.
• License in additional states possible per firm needs.
• Experience with SKM or ETAP power systems software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication with clients, contractors, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Power systems design: medium/low voltage, generators, motor controls, lighting.
• Prepare project specifications and edit master specs.
• Lead electrical engineer on multiple projects; manage scope, schedule, budget.
• Site visits from concept to construction.
• Electrical design work in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Power system studies in SKM and/or ETAP.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFI and change orders.
• Witness testing of electrical equipment and start-up support.
• Represent electrical discipline in client meetings.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other engineers.
• Mentor less experienced staff and assist in business development.
