  • We currently have over 2,000 employees in 70+ offices throughout the United States, Latin America, Canada, and the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop site layout plans including yard piping, roadways, grading, stormwater systems, and paving for water/wastewater projects.
  • Lead conceptual and preliminary design efforts, including field visits, data collection, alternatives analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and contribute to hydraulic modeling tasks.
  • Coordinate with regulatory officials as well as in‑house design disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Architectural, etc.) and other offices/regions to ensure site design and permitting incorporates all necessary aspects of project.
  • Coordinate work with sub‑consultants and ensure design integration.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and design deliverables.
  • Provide construction‑phase support by reviewing contractor submittals, responding to RFIs, and performing field inspections.
  • Lead site reconnaissance and field investigations.
  • Occasional local and regional travel required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the design and regulatory permitting of site plans, stormwater collection systems, and erosion control.
  • Bachelor of Science in civil, environmental, or biosystems engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Technical proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and leading CAD teams for the design of site layout, grading, drainage, and yard piping.
  • Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Able to easily move around active construction site safely and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in site/civil design and permitting for water and wastewater treatment plants and conveyance projects.
  • Familiarity with site survey practices, shop drawing review, and construction administration / field inspections.
  • Experience or familiarity with Revit/BIM, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software, and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.
  • Knowledge of local utility codes and permitting procedures.
