Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to support growth in Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation, delivering value through innovative design and compelling proposals.

You will lead cross-functional pursuit teams, validate designs against customer needs, and ensure smooth startup transitions with Operations and SCE CI resources. Key activities include multi-discipline design, advanced analytics, and client-facing presentations, with responsibility for mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry
• Six (6) years or more in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry
• Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint expert required
• Knowledgeable of visualization (Tableau, Microsoft) and database programming intermediate preferred

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, clarify gaps, develop initial hypotheses for solution design
• Develop labor, equipment, facility and expense requirements
• Develop cost and pricing models with IT
• Develop optimization scenarios aligned with objectives
• Meet with customers and bid response team; support technical reviews
• Lead consulting projects addressing customer pain points
