Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field of study.
• 2 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role.
• Experience in silicon photonics, electrical engineering/computer engineering or device physics; coding capability (Python, Rcode); simulation tools; PDK tapeout flow; macro design; SKILL language for Cadence; HFSS.

Responsibilities

• Improve the performance and manufacturability of silicon photonic devices.
• Perform data mining, data analysis, and macro design for experiments.
• Work on open-source software enablement and development projects in silicon photonics for device/macro design and simulation.
• Own a technology module, prioritize projects, delegate tasks, and lead improvement experiments and hardware disposition.
• Sustain and improve manufacturing technologies by ensuring product quality, reducing defects, improving Cp/Cpk, and increasing processing efficiency.
• Detect line issues through data analysis and drive containment and resolution to limit yield impact.
• Collaborate with device and process modules to drive development for new production technologies.
• Drive cost reductions through expense elimination, line and test yield improvements, and efficiency gains.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.
