Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a leader with proven expertise in silicon photonics active and passive device simulation, design, fabrication and test. You will coordinate qualifications across integration, reliability, modeling and test teams, and provide customer support to guide solutions and address root cause distinctions between technology and design.

Qualifications

• BS or above in Electrical/Optical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced photonic device design, integration, test experience preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex development of passive and active silicon photonics devices.
• Simulate, design and coordinate testing of new silicon photonic devices.
• Plan, coordinate, and document qualification of new photonic devices.
• Identify issues, perform experiments to root-cause design vs. technology gaps.
• Interface with customers to evaluate solutions and assist debugging.
• Travel to GF facilities <10% as needed.
