Amphenol Communications Solutions in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Senior/Lead Signal Integrity Engineer to drive the development of next-generation HSIO connectors, including SFP, QSFP, OSFP, CDFP, and 448G-class solutions.

You will own the signal-integrity aspects from architecture and simulation to validation, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and applications teams. Strong leadership and hands-on SI expertise are essential for success.

Qualificações

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of industry work experience and proven engineering management experience leading high-speed signal integrity teams.
• Expertise with SI simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS/Designer, CST Microwave Studio, or equivalent EM/SI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed measurements: TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors, and related debug methodologies.
• Experience designing or applying high-speed connectors and interconnects in communication, server, or networking systems is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams and influence technical direction.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop next-generation HSIO connectors (SFP, QSFP, OSFP, CDFP, 448G) in collaboration with mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Translate performance requirements into connector designs and production-ready solutions.
• Own SI portion of new product development from architecture through validation and transfer to manufacturing.
• Lead design reviews with SI, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to meet performance targets.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure product performance and engineering excellence.
• Address advanced high-speed challenges: channel modeling, SI/PI simulation, characterization, VNA/TDR validation, margin analysis.
• Support Sales and Applications during customer engagements and new design opportunities.
• Advise on build strategies and test limits to support high-volume manufacturing.
