Job summary

Amphenol Corporation, through its High Speed Products group, is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer in Schaumburg, IL to help develop next‑generation HSIO connectors (SFP, QSFP, OSFP, CDFP, 448G). You will contribute to high‑speed interconnects used in telecom/datacom and data center systems.

You will own the signal‑integrity portion from architecture to validation, collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, applications, and global factory teams, perform SI/PI simulations and measurements,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Signal Integrity engineering experience.
• Experience with SI simulation tools like HFSS/CST or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed measurements (TDR, VNA, generators).
• Experience applying engineering methods in lab, school, or internship.
• Strong leadership, cross‑functional alignment, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HSIO connectors (SFP, QSFP, OSFP, CDFP, 448G).
• Interface with customers and product managers to translate requirements.
• Own the SI portion from architecture to validation and transfer.
• Lead design reviews with SI, mechanical and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, applications, and global teams.
• Tackle advanced high-speed challenges: channel modeling, SI/PI, VNA/TDR.
• Support Sales and Applications during customer engagements and opportunities.
• Advise on build strategies and test limits for high-volume manufacturing.
