Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA seeks a SIGINT/Communications M&S Engineer to evaluate space-based intelligence architectures and support requirements verification, AoA analyses, and mission performance modeling. You will lead analysis teams and mentor staff while coordinating complex tasks for national security programs.

Applicants should have 8+ years of relevant experience, TS/SCI clearance, and proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8+ years of industry experience leading engineering studies and analysis teams
• Experience with space-related modeling, communication/ground architectures, data network modeling, scheduling algorithms, or mission management
• Knowledge of national security space or intelligence mission areas: communication/ground infrastructures, signals intelligence, GEO/space situational awareness, navigation, or space protection
• Experience with software languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++
• Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis teams driving recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and emerging customer architectures
• Coordinate complex technical tasks among customers and staff, managing resources to staff and execute projects
• Mentor junior staff across department focus areas
• Translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations
• Perform end-to-end performance evaluations and AoA using in-house tools
• Develop and present timely, technically accurate presentations and reports to technical leads, management, and customers
