Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a seasoned Sheet Metal Foreman to lead commercial HVAC ductwork installations in the DMV region. This salaried role directs field crews, plans daily work, coordinates labor and materials, and ensures installations meet safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of ductwork experience, strong leadership, and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial sheet metal or ductwork-installation experience.
• Experience supervising and leading field crews.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and ductwork installation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Experience planning labor, materials, tools, and daily field activities.
• Strong problem-solving and on-site decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC ductwork installations from planning to completion.
• Assign work, set expectations, monitor crew productivity.
• Provide field guidance, coaching, and training to mechanics and helpers.
• Coordinate daily activities with project leadership and other trades.
• Maintain clear communication with crew members, clients, and project teams.
