Job summary

McKenney’s is seeking an experienced ductwork foreman to oversee fabrication, installation, and testing of duct systems on project sites. You will plan manpower, deliveries, and equipment, coordinating with trades to ensure sequence integrity and safety.

The role requires leadership, blueprint interpretation, and strong communication. Candidates should have 5+ years in sheet metal/ductwork or a JATC program with leadership experience, and OSHA 30 certification. Extensive travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years’ experience in sheet metal/ductwork or JATC apprenticeship with 2+ years leadership
• OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and ductwork specifications
• Knowledge of SMACNA standards
• Proficiency with CAD
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to work long hours
• Ability to make key personnel decisions without personal bias
• Team-oriented and safety-focused

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily goals and ductwork tasks to crew members
• Review drawings, specifications, and duct designs for the day's work
• Inspect materials for quality and specifications
• Coordinate ductwork with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural trades
• Identify and address safety issues in work areas
• Complete Safety Observations as required
• Schedule material and equipment deliveries as needed
• Monitor ductwork quality, sealing, and installation workmanship
• Review duct installation progress against schedule
• Update as-built drawings with actual duct routing and connections
• Turn in hours-time through Crew Connect daily
• Attend project coordination meetings and communicate ductwork status
• Review change orders or specifications with PM
