Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration—grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and walk‑in coolers. The role requires diagnosing issues, communicating part statuses, and completing service calls accurately.

You will audit truck stock, uphold safety standards, and meet on‑call requirements while working in a large Southeast network with extensive equipment.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record aligned with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial cooking kitchen equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for parts and repairs with branch support and customers.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet safety standards.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach‑in and walk‑in coolers, freezers, etc.

Details:

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms are consistent with Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on‑call requirements.

Required Education | Experience:

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
