Job summary

The Service Technician II at Whaley Foodservice, LLC provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems such as grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-ins and walk-ins.

You will diagnose issues, communicate status updates, complete service calls on time, stock truck with parts, ensure safety standards, and participate in on-call rotation while contributing to customer satisfaction and company goals.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part orders and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms comply with safety standards.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
