Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration. You will service grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and coolers, while communicating progress and part needs to branch support and customers.

The role requires at least three years in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration, a valid driver’s license, and a clean background. On-call work and company-paid safety gear are part of the job, with a comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for parts and repairs with branch support and customers.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet safety standards.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercialcookingkitchenequipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms are consistent with Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
