Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is hiring immediately for a Service Technician II to maintain, service, and repair commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration such as grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers. The role offers a competitive salary from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, on-call pay, comprehensive benefits, and bonuses including sign-on for experienced technicians.

Candidates must have at least three years of experience, valid driver's license, and pass

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Provide status updates on parts and repairs to branch and customers.
• Complete service calls accurately and on schedule.
• Audit truck stock to ensure parts availability.
• Maintain safety standards for vehicle, tools, and uniforms.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

Details:

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercialcookingkitchenequipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms are consistent with Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
