Job summary

Whaley Foodservice is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and walk-in coolers. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and complete calls with accuracy while contributing to a safe, well-stocked service truck.

Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration is required; valid driver’s license and clean driving record essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for parts order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
