Job summary

Roof Technology Partners in Birmingham, AL is seeking a hands-on Service Foreman / Service Tech to lead a crew, own safety, quality, and job documentation on day-to-day roofing service and repair projects.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of commercial roofing service experience, with at least 2 years leading field crews, and strong knowledge of EPDM, PVC, TPO, BUR, and low-slope metal. Excellent communication with building owners is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial roofing service experience with at least 2 years leading field crews.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing systems (EPDM, PVC, TPO, BUR, Modified Bitumen, low-slope metal).
• Proven ability to diagnose complex roof leaks and lead crews to effective repairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a service crew on day-to-day commercial roofing service calls, repairs, and maintenance.
• Diagnose roof leaks and scope work; direct crew to execute repairs correctly the first time.
• Enforce safety standards on every jobsite, including JHA, fall protection, and PPE usage.
• Identify and document additional repair opportunities and communicate recommendations to customers.
• Ensure complete jobsite documentation is submitted within 24 hours for accurate invoicing.
• Train and develop service technicians to diagnose and complete complex repairs.
