Job summary

fhcexternal is seeking a Lead Server to oversee daily dining operations in a senior living setting. You will coordinate meal delivery, guide culinary staff, and ensure high-quality, restaurant-style service for residents, patients, staff, and guests.

This hourly role requires flexibility for day and evening shifts, some weekends and holidays, adherence to food safety, infection control, and dietary restrictions, and a collaborative approach to create a warm, welcoming dining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in food service or dining operations preferred.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred in healthcare dining.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic food preparation knowledge.
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety practices, and infection control procedures.
• Ability to lead, train, and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily dining service operations, ensuring timely and accurate meal delivery.
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to culinary staff during shifts.
• Coordinate dining room setup, tray service, and meal presentation.
• Ensure adherence to residents' dietary restrictions and portion control.
• Deliver meals and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.
• Provide high-quality, restaurant-style table service to residents and staff.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen for timely service.
• Promote a respectful, service-oriented atmosphere and resolve concerns.
