Job summary

Jamul-Casino in California seeks a seasoned restaurant server to deliver friendly, fast service across busy dining venues. You will take beverage and food orders, relay them to the culinary team, and serve guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Candidates should have culinary-related education, several years of kitchen and pastry experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to work varied shifts, earn and keep required licenses

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in culinary or related field and 4 years culinary experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience in restaurant/culinary operations.
• 3 years experience in restaurant, baking and pastry, including sugar & chocolate work, high-volume cake production, and decorating.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups.
• Ability to handle money, counts, and basic math; ability to earn and maintain gaming licenses.
• TiPS certification, RBS Certification, and ability to obtain gaming license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
• Promptly and accurately take beverage and food orders, transmit to Culinary team, and serve food items to guests.
• Complete sales to customers including taking money, counting change, processing comps, and operating POS system.
• Provide table service to customers.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies; perform side duties as needed.
• Collaborate with servers, bussers, hosts, supervisors and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Meet uniform, appearance and grooming standards.
• Adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
