Job summary

Franciscan Ministries in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Lead Server to oversee day-to-day dining services for residents, ensuring the highest quality program and service throughout the dining operation. You will lead associates, keep the dining room sanitary, stocked, and properly set, and train new staff in fine-dining principles, etiquette, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in food service preferred.
Food Handler’s certificate or state-required certification.
3+ years in food service.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lead and train front-line dining staff.

Responsibilities

Lead associates in delivering high-quality dining service for residents and guests.
Maintain sanitary, organized dining room and fully stocked stations.
Train new staff in fine-dining principles and service etiquette.
Review daily assignments, menus, and allergen information with the team.
Ensure closing check-out lists are completed and daily pre-service meetings are held.
Communicate policies and procedures clearly to staff.
