Job summary

General Motors seeks a Serial Data Calibration Technical Specialist to own and coordinate serial-data calibration across propulsion control systems. You will translate vehicle intent into repeatable calibration practices, guide engineers, and improve tools, workflows, and standards for high-quality releases.

You will collaborate with calibration, controls, software, systems safety, validation, and program teams to shape technical direction and ensure dependable vehicle features for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of propulsion-system calibration, controls, vehicle communications, or diagnostics calibration experience.
• Strong understanding of calibration execution and system functionality.
• Experience with vehicle network communications (CAN, LIN).
• Ability to interpret requirements, software behavior, and design intent.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and drive issues to closure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for serial-data calibration across ECUs and partner organizations.
• Provide direction for calibration execution, configuration accuracy, and standard procedures.
• Analyze calibration behavior and test results to identify root causes and drive resolutions.
• Review calibration data and recommend adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance technical goals and program needs.
• Create and improve tools and workflows to increase repeatability and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain documentation and support migration of calibration tools.
• Lead or contribute to technical reviews and communities of practice.
