Job summary

Synopsys is seeking a senior engineer specializing in high-speed SerDes SIPI across PCIe Gen6/7/8, E224G, E448G, and CXL interfaces. You will own end-to-end signoff, mentor teams, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure robust signal integrity in complex systems.

You will model, simulate, and measure with tools like HSPICE, HFSS, and Sigrity; drive lab correlation, fixture design, and documentation, while influencing architecture and reusable methodologies across programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
• 12+ years in high-speed SI/PI for SerDes across silicon+package+board.
• Experience with PCI Express Gen6/7/8, E224G, E448G, and CXL over PCIe.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SIPI for high-speed interfaces across die, interposer, package, PCB, connectors, and fixtures.
• Drive channel modeling and correlation using time- and frequency-domain analysis.
• Own SI signoff methodology, model extraction, de-embedding, and bandwidth-appropriate validation.
• Partner with circuit/PHY, interposer/package, board, and product teams to diagnose issues and propose fixes.
• Plan and run bench correlation experiments and document reusable design guidelines.
• Define SIPI flows, checklists, and mentor engineers; lead technical reviews.
• Provide technical leadership across programs and influence architecture decisions.
