Apple, Inc. seeks a Sensor System Architect for Touch & Biometric Sensing in Cupertino. Lead end-to-end system models spanning physics, electronics, mechanics, and algorithms to drive next-gen Touch ID and Apple Watch touch technologies.

You will author architectural specs, converge system design with cross-functional teams, and guide partnerships across hardware and software to validate models to mass production.

Qualifications

• BS and 10+ years relevant industry experience.
• Deep multi-disciplinary understanding of EE, ME and Physics.
• Experience in sensor development with signal processing expertise.

Responsabilités

• Define and lead end-to-end system models for touch and biometric sensing.
• Author specifications translating product goals into technical requirements.
• Drive architecture convergence across cross-functional teams to balance tradeoffs.
• Define strategy and roadmap for future sensing technologies to leadership.
• Collaborate with algorithm/firmware teams on signal processing chain.
• Influence materials and manufacturing processes with mechanical/materials teams.
• Analyze large datasets to validate models from characterization to mass production.
• Provide architectural oversight through integration, characterization, and validation.
• Travel up to 10% to support product development.
