Job summary

Global Technical Talent is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, and evaluation of mechanical systems for cleanrooms and HVAC projects in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes field investigations, cost estimation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

This contract position spans 12 months with hybrid work requiring at least three on-site days weekly. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 10+ years of dry systems experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college required.
• Minimum 10 years of Dry systems experience required.
• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience, OR 14–17 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work in mechanical discipline in a project or staff group.
• Performs work using Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Plans, coordinates or prepares equipment or work specifications, material requisition, technical bid evaluations and award recommendations.
• Coordinates engineering efforts between groups, client, suppliers, and contractors.
• Leads technical tasks and mentors other engineers or project subgroups.
• Communicates complex technical issues to management and supports Engineering Department initiatives.
• Mentors designers and drafters to support professional development.
