Job summary

First Point Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and field troubleshooting for cleanrooms and high-performance HVAC systems in Houston (preferred) or Chandler. You will define mechanical scope, perform field investigations, develop cost estimates, and drive the design and evaluation of complex cleanroom and HVAC solutions.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong coordination, and the ability to resolve challenges across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of dry systems experience; 10-17 years total relevant experience.
  • Proven experience designing cleanrooms, controlled environments, and complex HVAC systems.
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and coordinate across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design phases: airflow modeling, pressure zoning, filtration strategies, load calculations, and equipment sizing.
  • Develop equipment specifications, material requisitions, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
  • Coordinate with process, electrical, controls, architectural, construction, and supplier teams.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide clear corrective guidance.
  • Mentor designers/drafters and support development of engineering procedures and design guides.
  • Communicate technical issues and recommendations to project leadership.

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Cleanrooms & HVAC

We design and deliver high-performance cleanrooms, dry environments, and advanced HVAC systems for semiconductor, life sciences, and mission-critical manufacturing. We’re looking for a senior mechanical engineer who thrives in complex technical environments and can lead design, analysis, and field troubleshooting with confidence.

Role Overview

You will define mechanical scope, conduct field investigations, develop cost estimates, and lead the design and evaluation of cleanroom and HVAC systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong coordination skills, and the ability to resolve complex engineering challenges across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
