Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking an Estimator at its corporate office in Birmingham, AL to develop detailed cost estimates for large commercial projects. You will analyze drawings, specs, and subcontractor quotes to build accurate budgets and ensure clear bid communications.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in construction or engineering, with proficiency in Timberline, iSqft, OSC, and MS Office, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
• Experience estimating large scale commercial projects.
• Ability to communicate bids and scopes of work.
• Proficiency with Timberline, iSqft and On Screen Take-off.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed commercial, federal, industrial, and healthcare building project estimates based on the drawings and specifications.
• Communicates bids and scopes of work.
• Reports to the Estimating Manager.
• Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
