Join a high-growth investment team in Tampa as a Lead Senior Accountant. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and departmental leadership. You will help lead multiple accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for complex investment portfolios, fund structures, and real estate assets.

This position is designed for a CPA-track professional who has outgrown the traditional Senior title and is looking for a strategic seat with a direct path to an Accounting Manager role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end accounting closes, ensuring the accurate preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and consolidated financial statements
• Oversee accounting and reporting for complex capital transactions, including acquisitions, refinances, and investor distributions
• Manage fund-level accounting functions, including the tracking of equity calls, debt obligations, and intercompany transfers across multiple entities
• Deliver high-level variance analysis and financial narratives to executive leadership to support investment decision-making
• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare memos for complex transactions to ensure strict compliance with GAAP
• Coordinate audit activities with external auditors, serving as the primary point of contact for work paper preparation and technical inquiries
• Collaborate cross-functionally with investment and asset management teams to streamline internal controls and implement new business strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience; a mix of Public Accounting (Audit) and corporate investment or real estate is highly preferred
