Qualifications

• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjust entries.
• Ensure general ledger accuracy per U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Assist with internal/external financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Support audits, board/investor reporting, and lender requirements.
• Drive process improvements and automation within NetSuite.
• Participate in special projects like system upgrades or acquisitions.

Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $90k - $110k per year

Job Description: The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and process improvements. This role requires a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and execute key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Participate in the timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reporting, including detailed account variance analysis and key schedules for stakeholders and equity partners.
• Support financial audits and assist with board reporting, investor reporting, and lender requirements as applicable.
• Drive process improvements and automation within NetSuite ERP, maximizing system capabilities for efficiency and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, including those required by equity investors or auditors.
• Participate in special projects, including system upgrades, process optimization, or acquisitions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred).
• 5 years of accounting experience, including experience in equity-owned organizations (private equity or VC-backed).
• Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience, including GL, Fixed Assets, AP/AR, and reporting functions, is a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations in a growth-oriented company.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort reporting to senior leadership and investors.
