Job summary

Shaw is seeking a Self Perform Engineer for the Concrete Department Front Range to oversee the self-perform concrete work across projects. The role focuses on material management, scheduling, and coordination to ensure on-time completion within budget and quality standards.

The candidate will supervise crews, assist with RFIs/ASIs, and support plan reviews and VE efforts, while upholding Shaw's safety and project control programs.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience with a General Contractor, self-perform, or trade contractor background (concrete preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction practices and techniques for concrete work and reading construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendent and Subcontractor for delivery, storage, and management of concrete materials.
• Track materials for delivery and travel to job sites to check quality and usage.
• Assist Superintendent to schedule subcontractor work and manage RFIs/ASIs.
• Assemble shop drawings and submittals for structural coordination meetings and EOR review.
• Support Self Perform Manager in QA/QC and plan reviews, VE, and change pricing.
