Job summary

Biztec LLC is seeking a Master Technician to own the most complex physical security projects from start to finish, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and low-voltage systems. You will set technical standards, lead the field crew, and mentor technicians while ensuring installations meet code, schedule, and Biztec's quality expectations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience installing, integrating, and troubleshooting physical security and low-voltage systems.
• Active licenses: two or more of Alarm, Electrical, and Low Voltage.
• Expert knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and low-voltage cabling.
• Strong working knowledge of IP networking as it applies to security systems.
• Familiarity with NEC and applicable standards.
• Proven ability to lead crews and mentor technicians on site.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and riser diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical authority on complex access control, video, intrusion, and low-voltage installations.
• Perform advanced system design support, programming, commissioning, and integration across platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve difficult system, network, and integration issues.
• Set and enforce installation standards, quality control, and code compliance.
• Lead, train, and mentor entry-level to lead technicians; grow team skills.
• Partner with project managers on planning, scope, materials, sequencing, and problem solving.
• Conduct final inspections, system testing, and client walkthroughs at closeout.
• Ensure work meets NEC, manufacturer, and code requirements.
• Represent Biztec as technical expert to clients and other trades.
• Maintain tools, vehicle, and inventory to a professional standard.
• Champion safety practices and company policies on every site.
