Job summary

Biztec LLC is seeking a Senior Technician to lead commercial security installations, focusing on access control and low-voltage cabling. You will install, commission, and mentor junior installers on site, ensuring code compliance and high quality, while acting as the technical lead for the crew.

This role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, active licenses (Alarm/ELE/Low Voltage), and NEC knowledge; weekly travel to job sites is expected with per diem and lodging provided.

Qualifications

• Active licensing (Alarm/ELE/Low Voltage) required.
• 3-5 years installing physical security and low-voltage systems.
• Advanced understanding of access control systems and cabling.
• Familiarity with the NEC and industry standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and riser diagrams.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, and commissioning of access control, video, intrusion, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform advanced access control installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Plan and execute low-voltage cable runs per NEC/industry standards.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and riser diagrams; interpret specs.
• Terminate, test, and commission systems; diagnose complex issues.
• Serve as on-site senior technician and mentor junior installers.
• Coordinate with project manager on schedule, materials, and scope.
