Job summary

SeatGeek is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Security, to join our Security team. You will own end‑to‑end security initiatives across the platform, products, and company while mentoring teammates and shaping the security roadmap.

You’ll drive proactive protections, threat modeling, and automation, partnering with engineering and non‑engineering teams to reduce risk without slowing builders down.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security experience across multiple domains.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with production code skills.
• Proficiency in Python, Go and C# with secure review practices.
• Experience leading cross‑functional security projects end-to-end.
• Ability to design scalable prevention, detection and response.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secure-by-default protections across cloud, CI/CD, apps and endpoints.
• Lead design reviews and threat modeling for high‑impact features.
• Build and scale security tooling for detection and automated response.
• Evolve incident response capabilities and runbooks.
• Mentor engineers and shape secure coding culture across the company.
