Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Manager, Security Engineering to lead a combined team of Application and Platform Security engineers within the Cybersecurity Department. You will define the strategy, roadmap, and maturity model for security across apps and infrastructure, and report KPI-driven improvements to senior leadership.

You will drive shift-left security into the SDLC, mature posture management across cloud environments, and oversee vulnerability management and remediation processes while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MS preferred.
• 7+ years in information security or cybersecurity.
• 2+ years leading security engineering teams.
• Experience driving a measurable security maturity program — defining KPIs and reporting to leadership.
• Experience building programs applying industry-standard security best practices.
• Experience managing a security assessment program across many product teams.
• Knowledge of CSPM and IaC scanning on major cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001/27002.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a combined team of Application Security and Platform Security engineers.
• Own and evolve security strategy, roadmap, and maturity model; report KPIs to leadership.
• Ensure alignment across security controls, tooling, and posture outcomes.
• Drive shift-left security into the SDLC with threat modeling and secure design reviews.
• Mature posture management across cloud/infrastructure (CSPM, IaC scanning).
• Oversee vulnerability management and remediation orchestration with triage/workflows.
• Represent Security Engineering to Engineering, Product, Compliance, Security Response, and executives.
