Job summary

Front Porch's Carlsbad by the Sea Retirement Community is seeking a Security Officer II for a full-time night shift (NOC) from Friday to Tuesday, 11:00pm–7:30am. The role protects residents and staff, patrols campus, handles emergencies, and supports safety programs.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years security experience, a First Aid and CPR certificate, a California Class C license, and a guard card; compensation is $21.50–$23.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to assist residents, families, co-workers and vendors.
• Ability to train security staff and work any shift as needed.
• Familiarity with campus safety and security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services for residents and staff, securing premises and responding to incidents.
• Periodically patrol grounds, lobbies, corridors, and public spaces to ensure safety.
• Warn violators and file incident reports; assist with emergencies and medical calls as needed.
• Escort nurses and assist during emergencies, including directing medical personnel and residents.
