Job summary

CDW is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to provide technical leadership across security engineering, IAM, compliance, platform security, and infrastructure protection. You will partner with multiple teams to establish secure-by-design practices and strengthen CDW's security posture.

Responsibilities include leading security controls across cloud and on-prem environments, guiding threat mitigation, and advancing privileged access governance, while mentoring engineers and evaluating new security

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience securing enterprise-scale hybrid and cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of IAM, PAM, endpoint protection, network and cloud security, Zero Trust.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps, Secure SDLC, and automation using Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, CIS Controls.
• Ability to translate security requirements into scalable technical solutions and partner with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and improvement of security controls across platforms, infrastructure, cloud environments, and identity systems.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for security architecture, threat mitigation, risk management, vulnerability remediation, and incidents.
• Drive IAM capabilities including authentication, authorization, privileged access management, access governance, and least-privilege.
• Establish and maintain security standards and compliance controls aligned to PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Product teams to embed security throughout the lifecycle and support DevSecOps.
• Provide leadership and mentorship while evaluating emerging technologies and threats.
