Job summary

CDW is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to provide technical leadership across security engineering, IAM, compliance, platform security, and infrastructure protection. This role partners with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Architecture, Product, and Operations teams to establish secure-by-design practices and strengthen CDW's security posture.

You will mentor engineers, drive IAM and Zero Trust initiatives, and guide risk management, vulnerability remediation, and incident response across

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity/security engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience securing enterprise-scale hybrid and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of IAM, privileged access management, endpoint protection, network security.
• Experience with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, CIS Controls.
• CISSP certification a plus; other security certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implement, and improve security controls across platforms, infrastructure, cloud, and identity systems.
• Serve as senior technical authority for security architecture, threat mitigation, risk management, and incidents.
• Drive IAM capabilities including authentication, authorization, and least-privilege.
• Embed security throughout the technology lifecycle and support DevSecOps.
• Mentor engineers and evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen CDW's security posture.
