Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to collaborate with AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Development teams. You will guide security controls for federal information systems, oversee vulnerability management, and advance cloud security and Zero Trust initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, lead security projects, and ensure compliance with NIST controls while supporting risk-based decisions and security program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of security engineering experience.
• Experience with US federal government security projects.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53/800-171 controls.
• Strong CI/CD security and cloud security background.

Responsibilities

• Lead information security projects and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Implement, configure, and maintain security solutions following best practices.
• Coordinate enterprise project work and align resources across teams.
