Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to support security across AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Development teams. You will help implement and strengthen cybersecurity controls protecting federal information systems and data, including cloud, network, and endpoint environments.

You will lead security assessments, vulnerability management, and cloud security initiatives, while guiding CI/CD security, Zero Trust, and system authorization efforts in line with NIST and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of security engineering experience.
• Experience with US Federal government security engineering.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53/800-171 controls.
• Strong CI/CD security and cloud security background.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust concepts and security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on Information Security solutions and guidance to engineers.
• Lead or contribute to security projects and operations with mentoring.
• Implement, configure, and maintain security solutions following best practices.
• Coordinate effort and resources across teams for enterprise projects.
• Direct execution of program elements based on risk and business objectives.
• Advise on security controls across cloud, network, and endpoint environments.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation tracking.
• Advise on SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and scanning tools.
