Marqeta seeks a Senior Security Engineer to lead incident response for North America and shape AI-driven detections within a Next-Gen Agentic SOAR. You will join a Security Operations & Response team building custom AI tools to speed investigations and strengthen security posture, mentoring others and sustaining a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Formación

• 5+ years in security operations focused on incident response and detection engineering.
• Strong investigative instincts and ability to reconstruct incidents from data.
• Certifications in IR or related fields preferred (e.g., GCIH, GCFA).
• Solid knowledge of AWS, containers, and cloud security tooling.
• Experience with threat intelligence, threat hunting, and on-call rotations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead incident response across North America and coordinate with IR teams.
• Engineer automated detections and response workflows; build AI-driven tools.
• Run advanced threat hunts and maintain runbooks and SOPs.
• Develop KPIs and report on detection effectiveness and MTTD/MTTR.
• Mentor junior staff in detection engineering and IR best practices.
• Create automation playbooks to improve detection, hunting, and response.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to close detection coverage gaps.
• Maintain logging/monitoring to support proactive security operations.
