Job summary

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, seeks a Lead Security Engineer to own security across the infrastructure, IAM, and AI programs. You’ll drive threat detection, incident response, and policy development with a global scope, enabling secure growth and compliance across our San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago footprint.

Qualifications

• Senior-level, proven expertise across security domains including IAM, infrastructure security, and compliance.
• Hands-on incident investigation experience and escalation judgment.
• Experience supporting audit programs (SOC 2, NIST 800-53/800-171, CMMC 2.0, J-SOX).
• Ability to automate security reviews, monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead security decisions across MISUMI Americas' global operations.
• Own threat detection and incident response within a cross‑department group.
• Design and manage least‑privilege IAM, roles, and permission policies.
• Run user access audits and regular access reviews across identity and application layers.
• Govern and shape AI security configurations, guardrails, and policy compliance.
• Automate security processes and convert hands-on work into runbooks and repeatable practices.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security into software and infrastructure.
• Support audits by gathering evidence and validating controls.
