Job summary

MISUMI Americas, based in Oakland, CA, seeks a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer to own our multi-regional AWS platform. You will manage CloudFormation templates, build Node.js tools, and drive end-to-end infrastructure projects while collaborating with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

The role requires onsite presence in Oakland with a strong emphasis on hands-on implementation, optimization, and mentorship of a small team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure or SRE roles.
• 5+ years writing Node.js code for automation/services.
• Hands-on AWS across EC2, Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, CodeBuild, EB.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation.
• Lead infrastructure projects end-to-end with a small team.
• Develop Node.js tools for automation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and apps.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting across AWS environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues; optimize performance and security.
