Job summary

Beam builds AI tools for frontline public services and is seeking a Security Operations Lead. You will run detection/response, manage the SIEM and MDR, and own the vulnerability program across four regions while coordinating pen tests with an external partner.

You will assure controls for audits and drive incident readiness and security testing in collaboration with Engineering and the CIRO. You will report to the Chief Information Risk Officer and contribute to a security-first culture with

Qualifications

• Experience building and running detection and response in cloud-native environments.
• Experience running a vulnerability management programme to SLA with engineering teams.
• Evidence of controls under ISO 27001, SOC 2 or NIST 800-53 for auditors.

Responsibilities

• Run detection and response; own the SIEM and detection stack and manage a 24/7 MDR service.
• Own the vulnerability programme end to end across cloud posture and surface areas.
• Scope and coordinate penetration testing with external partner across products/regions.
• Assure Engineering platform controls and evidence for audits (ISO/SOC/NIST).
• Make incident response ready; develop runbooks and support CIRO during incidents.
• Lead AI threat modelling and adversarial testing with red-team partner.
• Run third-party security assessments and deliver security training and metrics.
