Job summary

NISA Investment Advisors, LLC is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate security controls across IAM, PAM, cloud, AI security, and incident response. You will work with the Deputy CISO and IT teams to enforce zero-trust principles and secure development practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership in security operations, vulnerability management, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years IT or security experience, with 5+ years hands-on security engineering.
• Hands-on IAM and PAM engineering (Entra ID, Okta, CyberArk, BeyondTrust).
• Experience securing AWS and/or Azure; SIEM/SOAR and EDR platform work.
• Proficiency in security automation and IaC (Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, SOC 2 and MITRE ATT&CK.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and operate IAM and PAM platforms; enforce MFA and access reviews.
• Manage cloud guardrails, posture, and secure IaC pipelines.
• Implement SIEM/SOAR, EDR, and incident response playbooks; drive automation.
• Lead vulnerability management and threat modeling activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to risk and compliance metrics.
