Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Architect to shape the security blueprint across enterprise systems. This role partners with EIP and business leaders to assess threats, close architectural gaps, and design forward-thinking security solutions that strengthen Humana's posture.

The candidate will lead vulnerability analyses, product security reviews, and secure testing strategies, aligning architecture with business priorities and evolving risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, or computer science.
• 8+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in security architecture.
• Experience threat modeling and application security assessments.
• Experience integrating security controls into modern SDLC and DevSecOps.
• Experience architecture/design reviews for enterprise apps.
• Experience remediating security vulnerabilities with engineering teams.
• Experience securing APIs, web apps, and cloud workloads.
• Experience in Azure/AWS/GCP environments and communicating risks to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform security architecture assessments and threat modeling for enterprise solutions.
• Define security requirements by evaluating business strategies and needs.
• Advise on strategies addressing security risks or gaps.
• Use independent judgment to determine best actions in complex cases.
• Serve as primary contact with business segments for security alignment.
• Communicate secure design principles to stakeholders.
• Improve security designs to reduce post-development vulnerabilities.
• Influence stakeholders to remediate deficiencies in design and code.
• Provide practical security solutions that preserve essential business functionality.
• Automate and standardize security processes where possible.
